Learn how to maintain crystal clear, soft, and balanced hot tub water all year round. We make spa maintenance simple.
The three pillars of water care.
1. Sanitation
Kill bacteria and keep water safe. Choose between the automated FreshWater® Salt System, Frog® Ease mineral cartridges, or standard chlorine/bromine.
2. Balance (pH & Alkalinity)
Keep pH between 7.2 and 7.8, and Total Alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm. Balanced water prevents shell scaling and component corrosion.
3. Filtration
Clean filters trap fine particles. Rinse filters weekly, deep clean with filter spray monthly, and wash dishwasher-safe Tri-X® filters regularly.

Adding a single dose of SilkBalance weekly reduces the amount of sanitizer chemicals required, neutralizes chemical odors, and extends the lifespan of your spa pumps and heaters.
Common water diagnostics:
- • Cloudy Water: Check filter cleanliness, shock with non-chlorine oxidizer, or adjust running cycles.
- • Green Water: Sanitizer level is too low. Dose with shock and verify filter cartridge alignment.
- • Scale on Shell: pH or hardness levels are too high. Add pH decreaser or use a pre-filter during fills.
